my iPhone lost all its contacts suddenly

Not sure how long it has been like this, but I noticed early this morning all of my contacts are gone from my phone. The only kind of update I have done recently was update my applications earlier this weekend. Any ideas. Are they gone for ever?

If you have an apple ID and you have iCloud, you should be able to restore them. That's strange. Also if they're email contacts it's easier to get them back. But i'd go for the iCloud option.

well i have my phone backed up to itunes so hopefully that will work, i'll try it when i get home to night

Oh, once you plug it into your computer there's a way to back all those things up. I have it so that It can automatically do that as I plug it in. I hope it works

If you've used iTunes, or set up iCloud, they'll come back.
Turn it off and turn it back on and see.
If you didn't set up iCloud, hopefully you use iTunes?
Tell me that, or the board, and I'm sure we can get them back.
